At Cityview, we love our kids! We have created Kids’ City to be a warm and inviting place for them to engage their imaginations in order to experience transformation in their hearts.

Our desire is that these kids will understand how much God loves them, trust him completely, and have a growing desire (and the tools necessary) to dig deeper into God’s Word. We hope to accomplish this by providing caring teachers who love your children—and, more importantly, who love Jesus—and a Christ-centered and age-appropriate curriculum. Our hope and prayer is that as kids go through Kids’ City they will be well on their way to becoming fully mature and equipped followers of Jesus Christ because of the foundation they received during these formative years.

Kids’ City (birth through 5th grade) offers classes during our Explore Hour (9a) and Worship hour (10:30a). Our qualified team will care for your children, they will pray for your children, and most importantly they teach your children the truth of God’s Word at age-appropriate levels. All volunteers have been screened and background checked.

Kids’ City is broken down into four classrooms:

  • Nursery (0-1 year old)
  • Todder (2-3 years old)
  • PK-K (4 years old through Kindergarten)
  • Elementary (1st through 5th grade)

The great thing about the curricula used for Kids’ City is that you as parents can download the Explore the Bible app and The Gospel Project app (both are available through iTunes or Google Play) to continue the conversation with your kids at home or catch up on missed weeks.

If you have questions about Kids’ City or if you would like more information on how to serve in Kids’ City please contact Christina Hernandez.

Nursery (0-1 year old)

Our Nursery is a safe place where your child will be lovingly cared for by volunteers who will pray for them and share God’s Word by reading age-appropriate Bibles and storybooks. Each classroom also has toys and activities that are designed for infants to walkers.

When checking your child in at the classroom please share any special instructions with the nursery team. If you would like to be notified of any problems, pagers are available upon request.

Other important notes:
• Please label all your child’s personal belongings.
• If you child needs to take a nap there is a sleeping room available in the nursery. Just let the nursery team know the nap time.
• There is a Mother’s Room where you can hear the service if needed.

Toddler Class (ages 2-3)

During the Explore hour children will be read stories in The Beginner’s Gospel Story Bible. Then during the Worship hour the children will learn the Bible is not just a collection of stories, but one unified story – God’s story of redemption through Jesus Christ. The curriculum used is called The Gospel Project.

The toddlers will not only have a story time but will also have free play, singing, snacks, and other age-appropriate activities. Take home pages will also be given during both hours so your family can reinforce the lessons throughout the week.
